About Cris

Have you heard about those guest speakers and facilitators who go on and on about how wonderful they are? And then tell you how they ‘discovered’ the answer and now you can have it too (at a huge cost)?

Well, that’s not Cris. He believes that kind of talk disempowers people. And we’re here to excite and incentivise your people. He also has a healthy respect that everyone’s path is unique. As such, you should “walk your own walk”.

What does Cris mean by this? He’s had struggles (and still does). And he’s made a few mistakes. In fact, he believes in making mistakes every day, to learn and grow. But Cris also believes in learning from others. His journey has taught him some valuable shortcuts. Shortcuts that can help you (and others) avoid some of the pitfalls he’s experienced.

Cris has shared a stage with the likes of the Dalai Lama, Brené Brown and others. Their inspiration shaped the successful wellbeing practises that Cris now brings to workplaces.

What Should Be Included In A Wellbeing Program?

What should be included in a wellbeing program?
If you are asking yourself this question, you may have been approaching this program the hard way.  You may not have started with individuals and what they think is important to the wellbeing program, nevertheless what the big elements from the wellbeing program are.
    1. The obvious one that everyone goes for is the physical side of it, for example: gym memberships, swimming pools, putting in certain fitness elements into the organisation, modifying things around the organisation, nutrition, and cooking classes. All of these things are the physical side of things and that is generally where people stop.  We actually like to work “above the neck” and to go into two (2) other specific areas.
    2. Mental fitness. We call it mental fitness for a reason because it is a way of getting your fitness and wellbeing up so that you won’t even get unwell.   The big ones are resilience, optimism and how you think about things in a way that doesn’t cause stress.  A stress free way of approaching and thinking of work.
    3. Emotional is all about making sure that you are in a good place yourself.  Having a very positive attitude and being as emotionally high as you can be first thing in the morning.  Whatever you’re emotional state is that will influence your perception of the workplace and that influences your reaction.
Once again, being positive about you, your work, the workplace and your colleagues. There is a saying that goes “You can’t know other until you start to know yourself”.  It is very much about your own emotional intelligence. Again, we’ve got great systems and processes.  We have an individualised chart that each and every one of your employees get where they can track how they are feeling throughout the day over a period of a couple of weeks so they can make the right changes in their life. If you’d like and wellbeing program that has something for every-‘body’ that is personalised but still affordable – get in touch.
